London Drupal dev teams... want to find an easy, cost effective way to boost your dev team? Come in and find out more about Drupal apprenticeships. I have 6 bright school/college leavers currently learning Drupal and hoping to get a Drupal apprenticeship.
Pop by for coffee anytime this week: 27 to 31 October, meet the team and find out more about how Drupal apprentices can benefit you.
Dev teams already hiring apprentices include Code Positive, White Fuse Media, Dennis Publishing, Bright Sites Consulting. They report benefits as:
Add an inexpensive, but productive resource to your team
Apprentices can start doing complex tasks quicker than you might think
Bring new perspectives and fresh ideas to your company
Have a positive effect on the Drupal community, and your local community
Your apprentice will be mentored, supported and given training for at least one year
Help a young person get started in the industry
The recruitment, training and ongoing support for your apprentice costs NOTHING! Apprenticeships are government backed and funded by the Skills Funding Agency. You just pay the apprentice’s salary – current employers pay around £175 - £200 per week.
In fact the government pays you – if you have fewer than 1000 employees you can get a grant of £1,500 to support you in taking on apprentices for the first time, available until 31 December 2014.
